Home

He hadn’t wanted to go home
Home was some place he wanted to forget
He had pushed back all the emotions
Rising up inside of him
He wasn’t connected or so he thought
Until now, standing here
Looking at the spot where he had spent
So many hours, Sitting and dreaming
what awaited him in the future
He knew now that he was Connected
He had to admit he counted stars from the terrace
He had to admit he did some Dreaming
Dreams that changed his life
And made him who he was Today.
And he saw an unfamiliar face that asked him who he was
Was he to say "this is where i grew up, this is where i dream t!"
He didn't know; the home was long gone; sold.
He was standing there, fighting the pain
That welled up inside of him.
